Your privacy matters to Timeless Perspective. This policy explains, in plain terms, what personal data we collect when you visit or book through timeless-perspective.com, what we use it for, who we share it with and what rights you have, under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Portuguese law.

1. Who is the data controller

The controller of your personal data is Timeless Perspective, Armação de Pêra, Algarve, Portugal. Each property is operated under its own local accommodation (“Alojamento Local”) registration, shown on the apartment’s page.

2. What data we collect and why

a) Contact requests

When you fill in the contact form or write to us, we process your name, email, phone number (optional) and the message you send us, for the sole purpose of replying to your request and following up on a possible booking. Legal basis: your consent and pre-contractual steps taken at your request [Art. 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR].

b) Bookings

Bookings are processed through the AvaiBook booking engine. To complete and manage your stay, data such as your name, contact details, booking details (dates, number of guests) and the necessary payment data are processed. AvaiBook acts as our processor and/or controller, under its own terms. Legal basis: performance of the accommodation contract and compliance with legal and tax obligations [Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR].

c) Usage statistics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (pages visited, traffic sources, device type) and to improve it. This collection uses cookies and your IP address is anonymised. It is only activated with your consent in the cookie banner. Legal basis: your consent [Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR]. See the Cookie Policy.

d) Security and spam protection

To protect our forms from abuse and bots, we may use Google reCAPTCHA. For the security of the service, our web host may record technical data (IP address, date/time, browser type) in server logs. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in the security of the site [Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR].

e) Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter (for example, through the digital guest guide), we process your email address for the sole purpose of sending you news and communications from Timeless Perspective. Legal basis: your consent [Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR]. You may withdraw your consent and unsubscribe at any time by writing to us at info@timeless-perspective.com or by using the unsubscribe option indicated in the communications themselves.

3. Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the providers needed to run the site, and only to the extent necessary:

• Google (Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC) — statistics (Analytics), fonts (Fonts), maps (Maps) and anti-spam protection (reCAPTCHA).
• AvaiBook — booking engine and related payment processing.
• FormSubmit — forwarding of contact-form messages and newsletter subscriptions to our email.
• Website hosting (hosting provider) — to serve the pages.
• Public authorities, where required by law.

4. International transfers

Some of these providers (such as Google) may process data outside the European Economic Area, in particular in the USA. In such cases, the transfer takes place under appropriate safeguards, such as the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

5. How long we keep your data

• Contact requests: for as long as needed to reply and, at most, up to 2 years, unless they lead to a booking.
• Bookings: for the duration of the relationship and for the applicable legal and tax retention periods (as a rule, up to 10 years for tax documents).
• Statistics (Analytics): up to 14 months.
• Newsletter: until you withdraw your consent (unsubscribe).

6. Your rights

As a data subject, you have the right of access, and the right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and objection, the right to data portability and the right to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@timeless-perspective.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese supervisory authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD) — www.cnpd.pt.

7. Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse or unauthorised access, including an encrypted connection (HTTPS) across the whole site.

8. Children

The site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy whenever necessary. The version in force is always the one published on this page, with the update date shown at the top.
