La catedral est\u00e1 construida en estilo g\u00f3tico y el altar mayor fue reconstruido en estilo manuelino despu\u00e9s del terremoto de 1755.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-cb336fa elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"cb336fa\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight );\">La Catedral de Faro fue construida en 1577, como consecuencia del traslado del obispo de Silves a Faro. En el pasado, un templo romano y una mezquita musulmana se encontraban en el sitio donde se construy\u00f3 la catedral. Demolida por los corsarios del conde de Essex en 1596, la iglesia ha sido restaurada con un nuevo altar mayor con un retablo manierista, decorado con esculturas del siglo XVII, un buen ejemplo de arte religioso.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-37bca4b elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"37bca4b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight );\">Junto a \u00e9l, el Palacio Episcopal (siglo XVII) es un edificio que representa el estilo ch\u00e3 (simple) de la arquitectura del Algarve.
